Unfortunately, I have never seen this reaction directly (only on video).

From the chemical oscillations, I liked the periodic glow of white phosphorus vapor.

maybe I don't know the phosphorus one. can you show me?

for me cerium was interesting. also i use very old cerium(III) sulfate made in 59.

Chemical composition on the side of the matchbox (it includes red phosphorus).

Remove this composition (without paper) and heat it in a test-tube. Close the test-tube tightly by cotton. Phosphorus eveparates and condensates in the top of the test-tube (as white phosphorus).
In the dark room open the test-tube. Phosphorus will glow.

At first, the phosphorus will glow continuously. Then there will be oscillations (if you're lucky). Glowing - darkness - glowing ...

P.S. Sorry for my very bad english.

so the same result will be if I made white allotropy from red in a test tube, I prefer to use red phosphorus. and new made white phosphorus in the air will glow.

PS. no problem, I'm using Grammarly, you can download it for free It will correct all grammatical errors automatically.

Probably, paper termolisis products affect the glow.

P.S. I partly use google translate
