Реакция серы - изотопная метка 33S и высокочистого натрия.
39 мг такой "крутой серы" стоит почти 1200€.
Чтобы не получилось ОЧЕНЬ дорогого фейерверка, реакцию провели в жидком аммиаке, конденсированного жидким азотом. Промежуточным продуктом был раствор натрия в аммиаке, синий из-за сольватированных электронов. Конечный продукт - меченный сульфид натрия в виде суспензии в жидком аммиаке.

The 'solvent' is ammonia which I condensed in a nitrogen cooled isopropyl alcohol bath. The solution of solvated electrons in ammonia is a beautiful blue (Na in liquid NH3). I missed the point for another photo of the blue solution since I needed to get the reaction to proceed properly. Sorry for missing out on that, but it would have taken all the fun out of the guessing time.

What you see is a suspension of Na2S in liquid ammonia!

Много лет назад, когда еще учился в школе, делал полисульфид калия. Просто нагревал твердый поташ с серой.

Плотность раствора составила 1.200 г/мл. Получить действительно оказалось просто.
